Light, explained
Light is the quiet reason most plants struggle indoors. Match the plant to the room and half the work is done.

Read your room
A window facing south gives strong light. East and west give gentler light. A room far from any window is low light. Hold your hand above the plant: a sharp shadow means bright light, a faint one means less.

The three levels
Level one tolerates a shaded corner. Level two wants bright light without direct sun. Level three wants several hours of direct sun.
